Matthews, who is licensed in multiple states, has been a top producer for over 15 years  in the real estate industry providing extensive insight in the areas of buying, selling, and investing; business development and ethics, strategic planning, training and recruitment, asset management, contractor/subcontractor management, leasing and administration, brokerage and risk management, and contract negotiations. 

Market Knowledge and Experience

Tony has implemented many programs to help Buyers and Sellers accomplish their purchasing and selling goals. By addressing Buyer's needs through contract structure and negotiations and Seller needs with an Average Days on Market for listings, to date of 26 days, Tony has a host of satisfied clients over his career. 

History of Success

Prior to real estate, Matthews played professional football in Europe. He also played college football at Grambling State University under the legendary coach Eddie Robinson and former NFL players Doug Williams and Todd Bowles. Matthews continued his education at Christopher Newport University where he graduated and earned the All-Dixie Conference and All-USA South Honors for the elite play at the Cornerback and Punt return. He completed his Bachelor in Recreation, Leisure, Hospitality & Tourism with a concentration in Sports Management and Administration and was the first CNU Football Alumna to play professional sports. After retiring from athletics, he returned to Hampton Roads and became the Defensive Backs coach at his alma mater, Christopher Newport University. 

As a successful entrepreneur, Matthews considered it his obligation to give back to the community he was a part of. He launched several real estate geared businesses throughout Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, Indiana, and other mid-west localities to include Nevada, which assists lower to middle-income communities and military veterans with access to affordable housing and financial literacy and also provided youth mentorship, tutoring, and access to college scholarships

Additionally, Matthews has authored publications that teach on the basis of the real estate industry and smart purchasing and selling tips for homeowners.
