Rosedale MD

Located on the north-east border of the City of Baltimore Rosedale is an attractive town for home buyers looking to get the most bang for there buck. A former farming community from the time of its first settlers until urban development began after WW II. Route 7 or Philadelphia rd as most know it is one of the main thoroughfares that service Rosedale. In its glory days Philadelphia road carried George Washington to New York in 1789 for his Presidential Inauguration.

There was a young Englishman who had a farm on Hamilton Avenue just above Philadelphia Road which was covered with beautiful roses. Since his name was Dale and since the roses were so lovely, they felt that Rosedale would be an appropriate name.
